View Article  My Top 10 Obama Era Predictions

1. There will be a demand for a Obama Holiday, forget President’s Day our first black president needs his own day to show the world America is not racist.

2. There will be a demand for Obama’s face to be on one of our currency.  It will come down to replacing either Andrew Jackson (known racist) or Alexander Hamilton who many people don’t about.

Will Smith’s wife Jada will need a role in the movie. She can probably have a cameo as a community organizer in Cleveland.  Jay Z will do the soundrack.

6.  Every rapper from Nas to Ludacris and including Tupac will have an Obama song on their Album.

View Article  My Inauguration Predictions

Now that we have elected our “Official Black President”.  I predict that the that upcoming inauguration will be the second coming to the Million Man March.  Channels, such as E, MTV, VH1, and Style will have various red carpet shows that will highlight a who's who of Hollywood and the entertainment industry that has descended to the Nation’s Capital for the inauguration.  I can wait to see what Lindsey Lohan and her girlfriend walk the red carpet with their lovely dresses.  Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and Ludacris will host various inauguration bashes at several clubs in D.C charging patrons 50 to 100 dollars to get in. The V.I.P rooms will be off limits.  People will throw Inauguration parties comparable to a Superbowl party all over the country. The price for Obama T-shirts will go up two fold(collectors items baby).  Fireworks at the monument.

View Article  M B T (My brief thoughts)

I am not caught up in the historical nature of the election of America’s first “black president”. The fact that Barak Obama will become the 44th President of this country proves to me the democratic process does work.  Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to downplay the historic moment for a nation that was transformed itself from a place that was scarred with, slavery, a civil war, Jim Crow and 9-11 to electing Barak Obama as President of the United States of America.  The cacophony of voices on the right who view an Obama administration as the dawning socialistic era, are scared about where this country is headed.  Forget for a moment that Barak Obama is black; the Democrats control both houses of Congress.  Their ability to push a liberal agenda will be unfettered. Should I chose the wait and see approach or just bend over and grab my ankles because we are screwed.

View Article  To President Obama congrats

American-Flag-Wall-ArtAmerican has spoken, now that the 2008 election is in its twilight, I am happy that it is over.  Did black people finally get what they been yearning for? Can we finally move on and get over the AmeriKKKa is racist mantra. I hope my people can put the nail in the coffin and move on.  While there is cause for major celebration for one man you put into the annals of our history books.  I caution people that fight to improve our streets, our health, and our education rests upon our shoulders and not the next President.  Black America we still have work to do in places like Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago and DC.  As duty calls I always put country first, not before God or my savior Jesus for through them I no weapon against me shall prosper and faith is what drives my hope and not from man.

My unconditional support for country and my commander in chief will remain steadfast. Like it always has especially throughout the personal sacrifice I have made.  I challenge those to protect and defend our great country and ensure President Obama is successful at living up to the oath of office. Surely I will, although I am a conservative who votes Republican…………..  I am an American first.

Let us pray for our next President

God Bless America!!!

View Article  My 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs 100 - 90

FatboysSeveral weeks ago I watched VH1 100 greatest Hip Hop songs of all time.  Zone of my complaints was some of the songs that were chosen were simply wack.  Young MC ahead of Pete Rock and CL smooth and Doug E Fresh the show was real low.  I understand commercial success does pay a major factor, however it won’t on my list.  Is this list bias?... As Sarah Palin would say “You Betcha”.   You will not be seeing the likes of Lil Wayne or anybody who I think is garbage.  This is my list and I’m pretty sure you will agree with most of my picks.

100.        Sweet Tee “On the Smooth Tip” Testing My Mic 1 2 1 2 I’m here to entertain and this means you. The song sampled Parliament’s “Mothership Connection” with a nice drum beat and Sweet Tee’s lyrical delivery made this song “Smooth”

99.          Too Short “Life is Too Short” Short Dawg was on the first West Coast rappers I listened to.  School Boy Crush by Average White Band is an often sampled song.  Too Short pulled it off with this classic

98.          Boss “Recipe of a Hoe” Lyrically back in the day Boss was tops for a female, Despite the title Recipe of a Hoe is classic head as she condems certain types in industry.  This song remains up in rotation on my Zune.

97.          U.T.F.O “Ya Cold Wanna Be With Me” One of the songs I use to sang to my girl back in day and on occasion still do.

96.          Fat Boys “Fat Boys” They were known as the Disco 3 and changed their names to the Fat Boys after this classic.  Listening to Buff beat box is what makes Hip Hop great to me.

95.          T La Rock “It’s Yours” A Classic in a true sense.  It’s Yours!!!!!

94.          3 Times Dope “Funky Dividends” These Brothers from Philly talk about being frugal and gold diggers.

93.          Cool C “Glamorous Life” OJ Simpson of hip hop was representing Philly with this classic, Predates the bling bling that has corrupted Hip Hop

92.          Das EFX “Mic Checka” Their flow predated Bone Thugs. Straight head nod.  I’m pretty sure you if you head this sing now you trying to flow..  Riggety Rau!

91.           Chubb Rock “Ya Bad Chubbs” Underrated for his lyrical skills, If you sit and listen to Chubb’s flow on this hit, DAMN would be your reaction.

90. The Lady of Rage “Afro Puffs” I still get a head rush listening to Rage lyrics on this song. The Street Fighter reference is classic

View Article  Rove to the Left..... Marx to the Right.....

I feel that those on the left look at “Karl Rove” the same way as those on the right look at “Karl Marx”.  Liberals have come up with cute word like “Rovian”, I waiting on for the day when liberals start using the calling conservatives who espouse free market ideas a “Rovenist”.  I feel like it’s coming, and in the age of the Obama (if he so happens to be elected our 44th President) it will be reality.  Rove derangement syndrome is prevalent.  The economy is in crisis it is all Rove’s fault, the War on Terrorism is all Rove’s fault and If Obama loses the election it was because of Karl Rove.  Can I blame the Patriot’s lost in Superbowl on Karl Rove? I might as well.  How can one man who hasn’t written a manifesto nor has been elected to any public office become so vilified.  Who does the left hate more Rush, Rove or Hannity?

When will the Rovian Manifesto be written? I will like the read the firsthand account of the boogey man’s doctrine for “turning the executive branch into a political arm of the Republican Party, stoking fear and division amid the electorate, trashing opponents without mercy, and casting national security as a wedge issue”, according to Dan Froomin Washington Post article so aptly titled The End of Rove's Dream.

So in a Rovenistic manner those on the left are guilty of using those same tactics to attack those who they disagree with.  Trust me I live in Maryland where the democrats that rule our “Animal Farm” will lie, cheat, steal and raise taxes to stay in power then tell us slot machines are good for us to have now, when they were downright evil when a republican governor proposed them a few years ago.  By the way our recently elected democratic governor of 2006 wants slots in Maryland.

Talk about the “Snowball” effect huh

Yet when the sun finally sets on President Bush legacy, history might be kind to him however Karl Rove will probably be the Rasputin of our times.  The liberals will make sure of it.

View Article  I am offically endorsing McCain for POTUS (but not tonight)

First of all I am just so enamored with Governor Palin.  She is what the Republican’s need…. A fighter and although McCain is at the top of the ticket he became sort of P.O.W in Washington.  With all due respect to the Senator’s Vietnam experience the Maverick that we was accustomed to seeing was was Pitiful Obtuse and Weak (P.O.W).

The self described hockey mom performed a hat trick last night and showed America that Alaska is not all about cold weather, the “Pitbull Alaskan” can bring some heat.  I love it.  She has rescued the McCain campaign and conservatives are exited.

The reason that I can not support McCain tonight is because, it is football season my Redskins are playing tonight and they take priority except for church (Tivo comes in handy on Sundays) Paraphrasing Barak Obama

“There is no Red America, there is no Blue America….. There is A Burgundy and Gold America”

God Bless America and Hail to the Redskins!

View Article  Earning my degree

The hiatus I have been on is due to me being in school and finally earning my Master’s Degree in Information Technology. I completed the program online through American Intercontinental University.  Retirement for me is about 24 months away.  I have no regrets about choosing a path in the military, I have my ups and downs, contemplated about not re-enlisting several times. The last time I raised my right hand was during the major combat operations.  It was my last time I would have to re-enlist.  I stuck with it and now the rest is history.  To borrow the line from the great General Douglas McAurthur “Duty, Honor, Country” was what inspired me to continue on. But most importantly God’s grace and my faith in the Lord to march on.

View Article  The Preakness - My money is on Big Brown

Exercise rider Michelle Nevin (center) holds Preakness favorite Big Brown after his morning workout and bath as trainer Richard Dutrow (right) looks on.

Big brown is favorite to win the Preakness which is the second stage of the Triple Crown series.  I Love this horse and barring any kind of freak incident at the race track in Baltimore, Big Brown will win.  According to the experts the field may not that great but I will be watching Gayego and Kentucky Bear and probably Giant Moon to either place.

We Will see.

On a somber note, The Preakness will bring allot of people to the track, yet I feel that this may be one of the last Preakness race that the storied track Pilmico will host. Because of politics and other factors, the passion and pride for Horse Racing Maryland is dwindling.

Here is to a great race.

View Article  Army May Have to Borrow to Meet Payroll

“Secretary of Defense Robert Gates wrote letters to members of Congress Monday encouraging them to pass the supplemental by Memorial Day, or money to pay Army troops will run out by June 15.”

Army May Have to Borrow to Meet Payroll.

I don’t think the paychecks will be cut off.  It might be additional allowances such “combat pay” and family separation pay that may be in jeopardy if the the supplement isn’t approved by congress.

It will get signed, no one in Democrat controlled congress wants to be against the troops.  This is a political game of chess in which both sides are using the troops as pawns.

No wonder Congress approval ratings are low.
