Damn, I hope John Edwards is reading this.  But then again he like his other democratic brethen probably don’t read fox news. 

Lately, the one thing I’ve noticed about some conservatives, we will not defend those who are indefensible.  Just look at the resignation of Attorney General Gonzales, the President was basically his only defender and seemed quite disappointed by his good friend’s resignation.  I really didn’t know the know Attorney General to judge him on his competence, but just like those who have had the courage to work for this administration, he was loathed by the left.  What Karl Rove called the “the mob”, the rabid Democrats, left wing kooks and bloggers and conservatives who wanted Gonzales head.  Wow, I would have never thought that people would get so upset about a eight lawyers being fired.  Especially since 83 of them were giving the boot in during the Clinton administration.  Some on the right like Rich Lowry believed that Gonzales shouldn’t have been selected in the first place. Maybe he is right but I am noticing how the Democrats vehemently go after officials in the Bush administration and no one the right sticks up for them.  Like Ashcroft, Rumsfield, Libby, Rove, Card, Bolton, and McClellan who have quit and jump off the ship the left will not quit until they destroy what is left of Bush’s presidency.  Gonzales is gone, so who left on the looney left radar? Secretary Rice might be next.  If so will conservatives stand up for her? And will black America do the same like they did for OJ, Vick and Tookie. 

 

Michael Vick mentioned in front of the cameras, news reporters and anyone who happened to watch, that he has found Jesus. Besides apologizing to the NFL, The Atlanta Falcons owner and his teammates, what struck out the ,most is that he has found god.  Look I am not going to condemn the man, I am no Vick fan and don’t purport to be one.  Although I must say the the last Redskins game I attended was against the Falcons and Vick did show out.  What he has pleaded guilty to is reprehensible and should be fully punished under the law for it.  His homies or “dawgs” have turned on him and his estranged absentee father is talking bad about him to anyone who wants to listen. 

 Yet to be brutally honest, I am not losing any sleep over pitbulls.  Neither are the people who are condemning Michael Vick. The likes of PETA and other so called animal rights activists to be exact. Why I say this is because no one has step up to adopt those poor, abused canines that were seized from Vicks home. I sure can’t because my county in Maryland bans them.   Nor do I want to. Oh by the way they have to be euthanized So what's the matter?  Why can’t we as society can’t rehabilitate these abused dogs? I’m pretty sure we can find ole Killa a home. We do it all the time with the hundreds of animal shelters around this country.  Killa needs a loving home too you know. 

As I look at the crowd of protesters and see people holding up pictures of their beautiful dogs or being accompanied by “mans best friend” to show your love for America’s favorite four legged creature. Its ironic that I didn’t see any pitbull owners or pitbulls outside the courthouse.   I am not big fan pitbulls nor the people who own them, I stay away from them. 

This wasn’t a collie fighting a lab or Lassie fighting Rin Tin Tin so stop treating it as such.  It took a star athlete to uncover an underground illegal sport that we all turned a blind eye to.  Now it will take an athlete to help stop   

I love dogs and plan to buy a Scottish Terrier once I move into my new home. However, where was the outrage when we were getting bad shipment of dog food from the Chinese government. Yes the same food that were killing our belove animals and making them sick.  I did not see not one protest at the Chinese embassy. 

The only true friend Vick has right now is Jesus, not your “dawgs” it is shame he had to mess your life up to find that out.

    

After standing in line at the supermarket and looking at Barack Obama on the cover of Vibe magazine, I thought to myself, WOW! I see Barack is trying to court the young uninformed hip hop voter who happens to read vibe. Good for him I wonder if that is a Rolex he has on his wrist if so then he definitely has the street cred.

After seeing the movie 300 for the first time,  I called my best buddy and told him that after he looks at 300 this move above Braveheart as his favorite.

Will something big happen in 2012 that coincide with the winter solstice? For the ancient Maya Prophecy of December 21, 2012 can be look at as the end of world. This apocalyptic view may be the reason why the global enlightenment movement is promoting its diety to save our wretched selves from the man made destruction we are causing.  As 2012 approaches there will be a push to change our consciousness and behaviors about the planet couple with the Kyoto Protocol ending.  Global warming will be the number one priority coming out of Washington.  Terrorism will take a back seat.  Think about it, how can we fight a war on terror if we don’t have a planet to fight it on?  I don’t purport to be an expert on global warming. If global warming is such a crisis, then surely new approaches are needed that will not be intrusive on our lives. 

 

I called my buddy last night and told him that Barry Bonds will break the record tonight against the Nats. He chuckled and said you are right ‘”it's the Nats and who can’t hit a home run off of them”  Surely the Nats may not have the best pitching in the majors but the reason I believed that he was going to do it tonight was on Monday as I watched the Nats starting pitcher John Lannan go after Barry, that showed me that the Nats were going to pitch him straight up and not be afraid. The kid Lannan threw some good stuff and in one inning he got Bonds to strikeout with a nice breaking ball that made the slugger look like the mighty Casey at the Bat. Also it was matter of time, the Nats starting pitcher Mike Bacisk has a good curve ball and during last nights game he tested with his curved ball and Bonds got to him.  I thought for a moment that if he tries to sneak a fast ball by Barry,  Barry will jump on it and he would be the home run king.  Barry did it.. Congrats to the greatest player I’ve watched play the game.  When I saw Mr. Aaron on the jumbotron give his approval on what was inevitable I wanted to stand up clap. I couldn’t because I still can’t walk from my accident and second I didn't want to wake my lady up. Say what you want about Barry and all of the alleged steroids abuse 756 home runs is a milestone and since baseball didn’t have a steroid policy during the time frame in which he so called “juicing” how did he cheat?  You have to have rule in place in order for cheating to take place.  Baseball had no concrete steroid rules back then.   Never mind that his father was an All-star and his godfather is the greatest baseball player of all time.  The tutelage from these great players has made him the most feared batter I’ve seen of all time.  During the time frame of the alleged steroid abuse Barry had hit .370 and hit 46 home runs and struck out only 47 times in the year 2002.  Did steroids improve his hand and eye coordination did it make him a more disciplined batter.  You would think with roid rage being the rave that he would violently swung at every pitch he saw.  Barry’s critics don’t mention none of this.
