I have to thank my pops for introducing me to some of the greatest music at a very young age. Every Saturday night he just play songs by Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and the O’Jays to name a few. If I am home on Saturday nights I sort of mimic what my pops use to do, playing some the exact same songs (mixed in with a little Run DMC and Kurtis Blow).
Yet several years back, while I was doing some training down in Augusta Georgia, my boy and I use to hang out at this spot on Friday nights after training and listen to old school music while eating tasty gizzards, drinking beer and shooting pool. I wanted to hear the O’Jays and dagnubit they played it and I doing the “Ol Sarge Shuffle” to “She use to be my Girl” and “Living for the Weekend”
You have to see me do the Ol Sarge Shuffle (Not coming to Youtube anytime soon)… (
Much better than that Soldier Boy crap…. So Watch ME HERO!!
