Soriano stays, well at least for now. Alphonso Soriano will be a free agent in two months, just recently he has recently express a desire to stay in D.C. He surely has a following in this city. We love him and want him to remain a Nat. His leadership to this fledging team has been vital throughout the season. Although the Nats are in last place clearly without Soriano leadership this team would be as worse than the Kansas City Royals. The Nats have a good squad with Zimmerman at third, Nick Johnson at first, Felipie Lopez at Shortstop and Austin Kearns and Alphonso in the outfield. Pitching is a concern and I know that management will address that in the offseason. Building a team around a potentential MVP is the key. The Nats are on the right track

While Barry just kneeled down to ignore us. I guess I would to if I was booed the way he was. But back to the game, the Nats pulled through in the ninth inning to win their fifth straight game and keep my streak alive. Will I still go see the Nats if Soriano is traded? Of course I would. I love DC and I love baseball baseball in DC. LETS GO NATS! Lastly, our rookie third basemen Ryan Zimmerman is the future. The kid is great he is the future for this franchise.

There is a dilemma in DC; and no I am not talking about the I rise in crime in my home city, The dilemma is what are the Nationals are going to do with my favorite baseball player… Alphonso Soriano. “Alphonso the All star” who is putting up MVP like numbers and is a serious for the National League MVP award. Right now I believe another “Al” has that award on lock down. He doesn't play in DC though and neither is his team trying to trade him. The argument can be made that the Nationals can get some good “prospects” for Soriano. I am pretty sure Boston got a bunch of good prospects when they traded the “Babe”. It only took them almost a century to win the World Series. I understand this is a business and I will eventually get over Soriano being traded. I am still clinging on to hope. However if it does happen. I will not sell my Soriano “Nats” jersey on E-bay. That will be a collectors item baby. Ummm Babe ummm whatever.

My jaw just drop when I saw the teaser trailer to the new Spider-Man 3 movie. This is what I’ve wanted to see all along. You have Peter Parker, Mary Jane and yes Peter’s first love Gwen Stacy in a love triangle. Then you have Harry as the Goblin, the Sandman and oh yes VENOM. Well I know Spidey is wearing the black symbiotic alien suit which will eventually separate from him to become his greatest enemy when it merges with Eddie Brock to form Venom. Yet whether or not we see Eddie Brock’s Venom remains to be seen because the trailer didn’t show him. The comic book nerd in me is just loving this. These are three of my Spider-Man books I have in my collection that shows Spidey in black. Issue 300 (middle) was the first full appearance of Venom and when Peter when back to his traditional Blue and white costume. Now Spidey looks totally different.
I am still trying to get use to this costume. The black is still my favorite (even though it tried to kill him) Teaser Spider-Man 3 Tuesday, July 11

So far Eric Jerome Dickey has written a brilliant series of the untold love story of Marvel comics two most powerful black super heroes. Ororo Monroe (Storm) and King T'Challa (Black Panther). I have not read one single book written by Mr Dickey so I am not familiar at all with his writing. But I have enjoyed reading this series and I am looking forward to the marriage of these two preeminent super heroes in the Marvel universe.

I have an idea to create an Eddie Murphy like Axel Foley type character that tackles the “Culture of Corruption” in Washington DC. The movie will be called Capitol Hill Cop. Currently I am looking for a stunt double to do the scene where I get thrown down the steps of Capitol Hill.

I have not hidden the fact that Soriano is one favorite baseball players. I was big fan of his game when he was a Yankee (Ole Sarge Hates the Yankees). Once Soriano developed a discipline at the bat instead of swinging at that curve ball in the dirt he can be an MVP a complete total package. I once made a bold claim to my dad that Soriano can be to me what Willie Mays was to you. Willie is the greatest and I must admit that I went a little overboard with that assessment. Ole Sarge needs to leave the Jack Daniels alone. Nevertheless Soriano is great ball player. I am glad he is a Nat. Well at least for now. From now until the trading deadline on 31 July I am hoping the Nats won’t trade their lone bona fide super-star for “prospects” that might pan out. I rather have a “proven” versus “ ”prospects” any day. But I am not the owner. Monday, July 3

Congrats to our All-Star |

If all indicators are true, than I have officially watched Alphonso Soriano’s last home game as a Washington National. Forget the fact that whenever I have gone down the to the Old Stadium to watch a baseball game, the Nats have never lost. Forget the fact that Barry Bonds was in town and I surely wanted to see the best baseball player of my era in the twilight of his career play. My focus was cheering for the Nats and taking in a good baseball game while drinking a beer. RFK stadium was jumping and it was clear to me that Soriano has a cult following and Barry Bonds doesn’t. Soriano was cheered loudly while Barry was booed badly. Soriano even flashed a peace sign as I snapped his picture.
