View Article  My short take on the State of the Black union

I did take time out this weekend to watch part of the State of the Black Union. I for one am not a fan of Tavis Smiley, he sounds like a used car salesmen, yet he and Cornel West put together a great program for the liberal minded Bush hating black crowd.  Enough about that,  I was wonder why there wasn’t any conservatives or republicans on the panel.  Tavis did mention to his audience that they were invited but i guess they had other things to do such as a play golf or listen to the President’s weekly radio address.  If black conservatives want to make inroads, than they need to go into hostile territory and stand up for what they believe in.  Isn’t that what Martin Luther King did during the civil rights movement.  What is wrong with getting booed?  At least you will not be attack by dogs or sprayed with a fire hose. Hell invite me please.  I must warn you I can be a very combative  S.O.B (Yoga is not helping) and those that know me can attest to it.

View Article  The Incredible Hawk
Hillary Hawk

I have an idea, how about Dubai Ports World file a lawsuit with the ACLU against the Hillary Clinton and Democrats accusing them of violating their civil liberties.  The paragons of political correctness appear to be changing into some sort of National Security hawks right before eyes; in a manner that feeble Bruce Banner changed into the Incredible Hulk after being exposed to gamma radiation.  Who knows maybe Hillary has been exposed to vary same radiation that might find its way into our country if we let Dubai Ports World takeover commercial container operations at six major U.S ports. If so then, look for the “Incredible Hawk” (Hillary Clinton) to constantly attack the Bush administration on any National Security issues up until she becomes the Democratic presidential nominee for 2008.  “ME HAWK WILL SMASH!”

This newfound strength comes at a time when the Democrats are perceived to be weak on National Security, and vulnerable in the polls on this issue. Any weakness in the Republican so called National Security armor will be exposed by this opportunistic group of politicians’ which are hell bent on undermining the Commander in Chief during a time of war.  Lead by the “Incredible Hawk” Hillary Clinton who last month in a speech at Princeton had a few tough words about the Bush administration handling of the Iran nuke situation. Plus the Senator blasted the Bush administration on the proposed port management deal with the United Arab Emirate (UAE) by saying a move  “turn over our sovereignty to another country”   Hillary might be on to something here and the gamma radiation the Democrats are exposed to might give them the strength to smash their way back into the white house in 2008.

Last but not least

My suggestion is to let Haliburton win a no bid contract to run the ports or some other American company that will out source the labor to illegal immigrants.

Daytona 500

I do not have the post football blues.  Ole Sarge will be sitting down drinking a cold one watching some good ole restrictor plate racing at the Daytona 500.  The start of the NASCAR season is among us.  I will be cheering for the number 24 (Gordon).  But it might be his Hendrix teammate Jimmie Johnson (Number 48) that takes the the checkered flag.

We will see.   But in the meantime Let’s go racing boys!!!!!  HOOOAH!

48 team prospers

Update:

I missed some of the Daytona 500 because I was watching my Tarheels beat Wake Forest on another chanel. (Go Heels).  But anyway, what a great race. As I predicted, the 48 team took the checkered flag, great run for Jummie Johnson.  The 48 Lowes car ran strong all race and was able to hold off an agressive Ryan Newman (12 car) at the end.

Terry - 25 points

How about those Heels.  So far I’ve watched 3 Tarheels games. They play hard on both ends of the court and exude that Carolina tradition and pride that I have had a pleasure of watching ever since I was a child. Forward David Noel is leading the way by providing the senior leadership which freshmen on team follow. Although this is early and I won’t make any bold predictions, Carolina will surprise a lot of teams.  With the play of Reyshawn Terry and the emergence of freshmen Tyler Hansboro.  A birth to the NCAA’s big dance is not a far fetched prediction.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Reyshawn Terry scored 25 points to help North Carolina jolt No. 10 Kentucky 83-79 on Saturday, giving the Tar Heels a big road victory that ended the Wildcats' 11-game winning streak at Rupp Arena.

This was a matchup of basketball teams that rank 1-2 in NCAA Division I in overall wins, and defending champion North Carolina showed it is still plenty dangerous despite a depleted roster. The Tar Heels lost the top seven scorers from the team that won it all last season _ three to graduation and four to the NBA draft. (rest of the story)

I went 8 and 8 last week. My overall record is102–74.  I am clearly having a sub par year.  I am wondering if this can be contributed to Gulf War Illness.  It is sort of Ironic that I am having such a bad year after spending about 18 months in the middle east.  Some of my Redskin haters think that I must be sick picking the Redskins every week.   If that is case then. I need to make an appointment to be seen at Walter Reed.  I am picking my Skins to beat St. Louie.

A lil toastedLast Sunday Ole Sarge went 9 – 7 to bring his record to 94 – 66….  Hardly anything to brag about.  My buddy Maurice admonished me for picking against his Tampa Bucs. He truly doesn’t want me to pick Bucs because they might lose. Tampa should beat Chicago….

Speaking of my Redskins, Once again I have them pick to win.  Hey, Ole Sarge is such a die hard to be a realist! Hail to the Redskins!
