Six years ago me and a group of my military buddies met James Brown at a restaurant in Augusta Georgia. The Godfather was eating and relaxing with a lady friend just minding his business. The Godfather was nice enough  to take a picture with us and sign autographs (which I have since lost) He never said more than two words to us but it didn’t matter. He just smiled and went back to eating with his friend and wave at us when we left.   One of buddies has that picture we took.  (So T-dawg hook Ol Sarge up with the picture will ya)

James Brown was the greatest entertainer of all time and clearly the hardest work man in show business.  Every Friday night pops use to play James Brown (Funky Good Time, Hot Pants, Papa Got a Brand New Bag, Please Please Please, The Big Payback).  Pops use to brag about how he saw the Godfather……………Guess what pops?  I met the Godfather
