I was about two years old when President Ford became our 38th President.  It doesn't matter whether or not he was elected with a mandate by the American people, he held the Office that few had held and he served with honor, integrity and and restored a sense of dignity to White House.  I can not even imagine in this day and age how President Ford would have been able to lead our nation if the Watergate scandal would have happen now.  I ask my father how President Ford did it and he told me that like a Ford truck he was “built tough” and was able to handle that heavy payload. Now granted my dad is a General Motors man and he dislikes the Republicans as much as the Washington Redskins.  My dad did not have a bad thing to say about President Ford.
