View Article  You can call me a Niggard

So Kramer pays a visit to Don Jesse Jackson (The Rev) aka the self prescribe kneegroes de facto leader to ask for forgiveness.  Don’t get me wrong Kramer's diatribe was reprehensible but besides that.  I really don’t care nor give a damn about it.  The issue is between Kramer and the idiots who paid to see a washed up actor tell jokes.  I guess they figured that if they wanted to hear the ENword they would have just watched Def Comedy Jam and been cool with it. Or listen to a 50 Cent cd.  Me on the other hand Kramer would  have called me a niggard for being so damn cheap and refusing to pay and see his lame ass perform in the first place.

How can a fledgling team compete with a big market team to resign their top player? The answer to that question is…you can’t!  Soriano has gotten 136 million reason to play for the Cubs.  I knew the chances were slim for the Nationals to resign their super star. The Nationals made the right decision and I will still cheer for my Nats and for my boy Soriano except when he comes to the Ol’ dungeon called RFK stadium. Because it is all about the Nats and he will be the Enemy!!

The Nations are going to build a young and competitive team.  They will give two draft picks for Soriano so all is not lost.

Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld

The biggest prize of the war of terrorism is finally gone.  No not Osama Bin Laden, but Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield.  Donald Rumsfield, who was probably hated more than any terrorist on this earth, has finally resigned from his position that he twice held during tumultuous times in our country.  After the Democrats regained control of the Congress the first thing they were after was his head (literally) and the jihadists who we fight would have been more than happy to do the beheading for them and delivered it Herodias Pelosi.  The other day after I watched the President announced Donald Rumsfield resignation; I was waiting to hear the celebratory gun fire in the streets like the Iraqis had done when Saddam was capture. However it dawned on me that liberals don’t like guns so a celebration in Oz like fashion would suffice less the fireworks.  Ding Dong Rummy is dead lalalalalala.

View Article  Has The GOP Given Up on the Black Vote

Florida Senator Mel Martinez With a disappointing showing in this past election where black GOP hopefuls were trounce by weak democrat opponents, the GOP is thinking about the future. According to an article I have read on the Forbes web site.

"Florida Sen. Mel Martinez, a prominent Hispanic who previously served in President Bush's Cabinet, will assume the high-profile post of Republican National Committee general chairman, GOP officials said Monday." (Link)

Couple with the pending legislation which will grant amnesty to allot of immigrants.  A new voter block will emerge and Mel Martinez is just the point man to court them.

Blacks once again snubbed the GOP.  It was clearly evident in Maryland.  Surely there were some gains made but it wasn't enough to sway an outcome.  Did the GOP try hard enough to go after the Black vote?  As much as the Democrats have snub the Black vote, they too have a interest in the Hispanic block.

My prediction is Democrats will continue to snub the Black vote and The GOP will just plainly give up on us.  The Democrats has the Clinton and Obama card and they will continue to use it once they feel that we start complaining.

My last question, where are the prominent black leaders in the Democratic party for speaker of the house or Majority Leader?  hmmmmm.

I am still bitter over the loss but at the same token very proud to help elect Maryland first Republican Governor in over 30 years. It is a shame that in this day and age we would rather promote a dead beat mayor of one of America’s worst cities to become Governor.  The people of Maryland spoke and all that matters is higher taxes, anti business climate and a place that will look like New Jersey.  Did I say higher taxes?  Oh yeah we will continue to watch poor black kids in Baltimore and PG County continue to sink further in the abysmal school systems.

Best wishes to the Old Line Leader from the Ole Line Sarge

Bill Russell, left, and Red Auerbach celebrated Russell's 10,000th career point in a game against the Bullets, Dec. 12, 1964.

The Cigar smoking Celtic icon Red Auerbach was laid to rest today. The Cigars he smoked and the occasional sitings in downtown Washington DC (Foggy Bottom, Chinatown) was not one of my fondess memory of him, it was watching him flash that grin he flashed when  Boston drafted Len Bias.  Boston would have dominated the Lakers had Bias played.  James Worthy versus Len Bias would have been great to watched.  James Worthy is my boy from Carolina (Go Heels) in all but Worthy’s D was suspect and Bias might have ate Big game James up.

Red was a dynasty builder and the Celtics that he coached during the 50’s and 60’s were an amazing basketball team (well that is what my pops told me) All pops talked about was Bill Russell this Bill Russell that.

I don’t doubt pops about big Bill.  He was a beast.  However Red was the Man

Leadership for Dummies

The words from an idiot who was almost my Commander in Chief

“You know, education, if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you -- you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Has John Kerry ever been to Iraq to visited the stupid troops. He is a vet and I pretty sure his minions will spin it in his favor. His three frivolous Purple Hearts will be mention by the media.

So kids you can work hard, get deployed to Middle East twice, start your own blog, go back to college and make the Dean’s List, position yourself to make a 6 figure salary plus collect a retirement check while doing numerous push ups to stay in shape. If you don’t then you will be stuck taking too much of your medication while filming a commercial because you are too damn stupid to read a label. Or if you are female you will get stuck marrying someone like Bobby Brown or Rosie O'Donnell.

No not me but Rep Duncan Hunter will run for President in 2008.

"Hunter, 58, raised his profile among conservatives as a coauthor of legislation for construction of a 700-mile (1,100-km) fence along the U.S.-Mexico border." (Reuters)

We share the same initials. It will be nice to have a Hunter up in the white house.

Was there any doubt who won the debate on Meet the press

The staff of the Herald (me) officially endorses Michael Steele for the US Senate.  Was there any doubt that I would not endorse my Lt. Governor from my great state of Maryland. If Harold Ford doesn't get elected in Tennessee than Michael Steele would be the first African American from a southern state (check the Mason Dixon line hero) to be elected to the U.S.Senate.  The Republican label is definitely a "scarlet letter" if not, then when doesn't Michael Steele get the Obama "rock star" treatment from the press.  Hmmm smells like bias to me.  While station in Kuwait and before Major Combat Operations in Iraq began.  My Governor and Lt Governor took time to send me a letter.  It was was response to a congratulatory email I sent them for winning the election in Maryland.  Click here to read   the letter.

I am also endorsing Governor Bob for reelection. I supported Bob when  the people of Maryland wanted a regime change and Bob delivered. To be honest Governor Bob's opponent is Mayor of one of the worse cities in America and he wants the people of Maryland to promote him to Governor. If you ever watched HBO's hit series called "The Wire" then you will know that this truly art imitating life in the mean streets of Baltimore or "B-More" short for B- More careful that includes voting for Mayor who is a miserable failure.

View Article  There is no "WE" in Withdrawal

Retired Army Colonel Ralph Peters asks these questions

Have we lost the will to win wars? Not just in Iraq, but anywhere? Do we really believe that being nice is more important than victory?

With all this talk about cutting and running or the politically correct term “re-deployment of troops” I would  emphatically say “yes”.  But then again who are we? “We” the people or “We” the soldier.  The former truly has lost its will while the ladder has not but because polls and politics decide how “we” fight.  “We” might as well just pull the plug and bow our heads in disgrace and leave the Middle East for good.  My question then will be “Where are “WE” going to build the Iraqi memorial at in DC”  I will need to see a marble wall with a list of my comrades who died.
