View Article  Mr. Putin Give Bob Back That Ring

Office perk: Russian President Vladimir Putin takes hold of a Super Bowl ring made for owner Robert Kraft. Putin kept the ring.

Maybe the New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft needs to ask the President Bush to demand from the President Putin in a Reaganesque like manner the same return of his Superbowl ring..

Can you imagine the President giving a speech at the Boston Harbor saying something to this effect…”Mr Putin Give Bob Back That Ring”

Well Bob since Secretary Rice speaks Russian you might try asking her to speak with Mr. Putin….

It is worth a shot Bob

My favorite conservative writer who turned 75 on June 30th (a day after Ole Sarge turned 33)  has a brand new article on townhall.com in which he talks about about America and his life in the 75 years.

  Dr. Sowell writes:

Franklin D. Roosevelt was Governor of New York in 1930. Winston Churchill was just an ignored backbencher in the British Parliament. In the German elections of 1930, a fringe group called National Socialists received more votes than ever before but the Nazis were still just the second largest party in the country

Hopefully I will live that long to talk about my life and how America was after June 29th, 1972. I have a long way to go and when that time comes in 2047 I should be close to drawning my social secuirty check.

Washington Nationals outfielder Jose Guillen went to Walter Reed Army Medical Center Monday afternoon to visit soldiers wounded in Iraq, some of whom he invited to last night's game. He was so moved by the visit that he donated $10,000 to the Walter Reed Foundation.

The outfielder of the first place Washington Nationals is considering donating his ($50,000)entire all-star game bonus if he is elected by the voters to start in the all-star game. If he is selected by the coaches, it would be 25,000.

Currently the slugger is batting .302 with 15 home runs and 41 RBI’s.

O'NEAL ATTERBERRY

The self proclaimed “Big Aristotle” Shaquille O’neal recently earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix Online. “Someday I might have to put down a basketball and have a regular 9-to-5 like everybody else.”  With the influx of players skipping college or leaving early to turn pro. Shaq earning his degree speaks volumes of the importance of an education.

With the help of my G.I bill I will have my degree in Feb 06.  Can you say “Ole Sarge the Scholar”?

Antre-Vyn Mason-Black

Fellow soldier who serve in Iraq was killed in Washington DC after leaving a nightclub.  I personally did not know Sergeant Antre-Vyn Mason Black, but just like me he is from the Washington DC area.  After surviving the war he comes home and is a victim of a senseless crime.  My prayers go out to his family.  Rest in peace comrade.

In Iraq you know who the enemy is. But what about at home? Al Qaeda doesn’t scare me, it is that damn Al Thugga we need to watch out for.

Although he is no Socrates, rapper Kool Moe Dee once said in a rap song titled “Self Destruction” “I never ever ran from the Klu Klux Klan and i shouldn’t have to run from a black man”  because that is Self Destruction.

Three men were charged yesterday with first-degree murder in the slaying of an Iraq war veteran early Sunday near a Northwest Washington nightclub. They are accused of fatally shooting Army Sgt. Antrevyn Mason-Black, 24, as he sat in the driver's seat of his silver Mazda about 3 a.m. in the Shaw neighborhood. A 23-year-old man who was with Mason-Black was also shot and remained hospitalized yesterday in critical but stable condition.

This is my infamous Father’s day poem I wrote years back. Some of the women I sent it too did not like it.  This was in response to Alicia Keys’ song “A woman’s Worth.  Please read it for yourself and see if Ole Sarge is a chauvinist

We often hear "What a Woman's Worth"   ( mhmn mhmn mhmn

Congratulations to my cousin Tiffany White. Her hard ward dedication has earned her a scholarship and acceptance at Michigan State University (Go Spartans).  She will study Forensic science.  I am proud my younger cousin and we know she will do great things for this herself and this country. She is truly is young, gifted and not a conservative yet.  I am working on that part.  Nevertheless.  I am a Spartan fan now, except when and if they play North Carolina (Go Heels)

Cambridge Massachusetts, the place were General George Washington took command of the newly formed Continental Army, was the scene where angry antiwar protesters clashed with police during the US Army 230th Birthday celebration. 7 idiots were arrested in the melee.

According to the Boston Globe

The protests outraged some spectators who brought children to the event.

''They are just ignorant, and they don't know what they are doing," said Brigit Smith, whose husband, Sergeant First Class Paul Smith of Tampa, was killed in Iraq in April 2003. He was the first soldier awarded the Medal of Honor in the Iraq war for his courage in the Battle of Baghdad Airport. The couple's 11-year-old son, David, led the Pledge of Allegiance yesterday afternoon to a backdrop of boos and sneers.

It is such a shame that those idiots would blatantly disrespect the institution that protects the very freedom they take for granted.  For one day just out of the respect for those that serve let us celebrate freedom in peace. Without an Army is peace possible?

Army 230

Take this moment to sing along with Ole Sarge

“First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation's might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle's won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.

Then it's Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army's on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e'er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.”

Wow the Army was 215 years Old when I joined….

HOOOAH Hero!

Mike Tyson

Did I watch the Tyson fight?  An event of this magnitude that comes to my beloved city of Washington D.C, I try to go to. But this is Mike Tyson we are talking about. As Mike Tyson told Jim Gray after quitting last night to begin the 7th round against Kevin McBride. "I just don't have this in my heart anymore,"  Neither did I. So Ole Sarge took the opportunity to study and read a up on my next assignment.  Getting my degree is more important.

Now that Iron Mike is done with boxing. I wish him the best with his missionary work that he wants to peruse.  Years ago back in 1991 in  at the Black Expo, I shook hands with Mike Tyson.  I was a new private in the Army training to be a broadcast journalist.  Mike asked me “what do I do for the Army?”, I told him “training to be a journalist”. He said “that’s good” and walked away.  Later that week I was devastated to find out that he was being charge for rape. Mike never became to me what Muhammad  Ali was to my dad and his generation. “The greatest” However I will argue with them that in his prime Mike Tyson was “The Baddest”.

To be grammatically correct now,  at the this point of his career Mike Tyson is “The Worst!”
