Before Hanity and Colmes was popular. When it cametime for my liberal brother and I get together, a good debate ensues. As usual our mother is allays in between moderating.  Although me and brother can’t agree on much, we can agree on where  to take our mother out  and treat her to a special dinner.  

My mother was the closest thing to Claire Huxtable from the Cosby Show you can get. She rarely whipped us But the constant interrogations until she got the truth out of you was more than enough.  I told her a few years back “Mom I would rather had gotten my but whipped”  Why? Because, a good but whipping only last a less than a minute. Being interrogated last for hours.
