According to one of my favorite writer Bob Woodard.  Former number two official or as I like to say “the man sitting next to the man’ at the FBI W. Mark Felt was revealed the infamous deep throat.  Deep throat was the covert name for the source who provided vital information to unravel the Watergate scandal that ultimately led to resignation of President Richard M. Nixon.  

Watergate, designation of a major United States political scandal that began with the burglary and wiretapping of the Democratic Party’s campaign headquarters, later engulfed President Richard M. Nixon and many of his supporters in a variety of illegal acts, and culminated in the first resignation of a U.S. president.

Ironically it was another Deep throat who almost forced a sitting impeached President out of office. (Ole Sarge you ain’t right) Well it is true dagnubit!  Instead of star writers such Woodard and Bernstein writing articles about her, she had writers from the Star  publishing  articles about the scandal.
