This is the time of year that I truly enjoy.  Speaking to young kids about my Army life and how I enjoy my job as a soldier. Plus at the end I make them participate in  Ole Sarge’s favorite pastime.  Doing Push Ups!  The first stop of the “Ole Sarge Elementary School Speaking Tour) The O.S.E - S.S.T. ( I just love Acronyms)  My first stop was at my oldest daughter’s school.  The kids got a kick out of Ole Sarge however there was a Drill Sergeant there who tried to steal my thunder. I ceded to him for the sheer fact he out ranked me. But Ole Sarge passed out a pocket US Constitutions to the kids, and told them “This is why we fight.  To protect and defend what is outlined in this booklet…….NOW DROP HEROS”   Although they look funny when trying, kids love doing push ups.
