2005 is finally here and I am looking forward to doing my part and continue to fight the good fight.  The good fight for me is not a fight in a physical sense such as the fights we are engaged in in the war on terrorism.  Yet, my good fight is the classic fight of right versus wrong.  As long as I seek guidance in God through Jesus Christ.  I will take my marching orders from them and fight in what I believe is right and...................... Soldier on!

On that Note:

Dc scanThis Past Thursday at Capitol City Brewery I had opportunity to meet some the brightest minds in the blogsphere from the DC area. The great thing about the meeting was that you finally got to meet the face behind the Webspace (hey that rhymes..)

My dear friend LaShawn Barber was responsible for putting this event together.  I was happy to finally meet the woman whose website I read faithfully while I was in Iraq.  She was truly inspiration for me to start the Herald.  It is an honor to have such a good friend.

Finally  I am constantly getting alot of  "thank you for protecting freedoms " of the citizenry. Although I am grateful for your gratitude.  I would like to reciprocate the thanks to the American people.  Why? because I believe that the American people are the backbone of the fabric which  makes my country strong.  Without a strong backbone to support the weight of the blanket of freedom (our flag) which we carry and protect through our blood and sacrifice,   we would not be able to stand up at all............

You are truly my backbone

I salute you
