First and foremost the views expressed on my Blog are my own views and not that of my government. I am a staunch supporter of this administration, my Commander in Chief, and the War on Terrorism. Regardless of the outcome of the election I will continue to serve honorably and fight the good fight whenever and wherever my country needs me. Mr. President.................... Duty is my watchword! ![]()
Back in January 2004 David kay was quoted by Reuters as saying
"I don't think they existed, What everyone was talking about is stockpiles produced after the end of the last (1991) Gulf War, and I don't think there was a large-scale production program in the nineties."
With that said back in January, that still didn't stop me from volunteering my services to Iraq. This was an opportunity to work with an organization such as the ISG. I believed in the mission and was fully commited in doing a great job. Before Iraq my previous experience was spending a total of 12 months in Saudi Arbia and Kuwait (I still have the knee scars from diving into the bunkers during the major combat operations of Operation Iraqi Freedom.... No Purple Hearts
..) So you won't see any books written about my servive during the war if I run for mayor of DC. Can you imagine a 527 group being called Tankers for Truth? ![]()
I am not an intel analyst my job description is Information Systems Analyst (Computer geek extrodinare) I did everything from fix powerpoint and word problems to help upgrade a commincations infrastructure that was virtually non existent. From May 1, 2004 until the end of September. I was the NCOIC (Non Commissioned Officer In Charge) of the Communcation Support Team of the ISG.
I have a deep admiration for Intel comunity and the job that they do. I believe that the best approach to take with regards to gathering intellegence data is to have the boots on the ground collecting data, empirical reality on the ground is, and has always been, different from intelligence judgments that must be made under serious constraints of time, distance and information.
. Our prewar intelligence were wrong in the assessment of Saddam's WMD and his capbalilities. However Sept 11th changed the way we do business. Remember Saddam had used WMD in the past especially on his own people. So what makes you think he wouldn't use them again if he had them?Even if there were only a remote possibility that these pre-1991 weapons still exist, we have an obligation to ensure that none of these remain to be used against us (America) the Iraqi's and people of the Middle East to include Iran and Israel.
